Despite being one of the most iconic sneakers of all time and the original colorway of the original Air shoe, the 2009 Defining Moments Bred Air Retro 1 may be the most underappreciated sneakers of the entire Air 1 line. The Bred colorway is about as good as it gets when it comes to memories just think Michael in the 1985 NBA Slam Dunk Contest and the first thing that comes to mind is the black and red Air Jordans on his feet--although the gold chain bouncing around on his neck is close second. So what is it about the 2009 that has sneaker collectors and Chicago Bulls fans overlooking it? It’s the only Defining Moments Bred Air 1 High that doesn't have the Air on the tongue, instead the Jumpman Air is featured, making it feel like one of the often dismissed 1 Mids. However, this Air 1 Retro Bred colorway released as a part of the 60+ Defining Moments Pack, which featured the Celtics Air 1 colorway designed to celebrate MJ's 63-point performance against Boston in Game 2 of the first round of 1986 NBA Playoffs.
